Birmingham Police Department:
Officer Ryan Emery: Three Task Forces working on “smash and grab”
Report people having events like a food giveaway to ensure they have a permit.
Birmingham Fire Department: N/A
CAP Officers: N/A
Anthony Henry: A inlet cover in off-set in Morris Ave and 23rd Street. A metal Plate is not of place on the 22nd Bridge 15 yards up from 1st Ave N. Morris Ave. between 23rd and 24th a metal plate is out of place.
3. Political candidate announcements.
Robert Walker: President of East Lake Community. Running for City Council District 5.
4. Funding Requests
Joy Meyer of ArtWalk requesting sponsorship of Artwalk, Sept. 6-7.
12th year of ArtWalk. Have stayed on budget and not incurred any extra costs. ArtWalk has been able to clean up after the event and breaking down after the event. Asking for $2,500 dollars. We have given this amount in the past. Total budget $50,000.
Carrie Motioned to give $2,500 to ArtWalk.

Robert Emerick of REV Birmingham requesting donation for garbage cans and bike racks in the Loft District.
Urban Revitalization in Downtown, Eastlake, Woodlawn, Ensley, and 5pts South. Downtown focus area 20th and 19th along 3rd Avenue. Tactical Urbanization: Using old phone booths as libraries, piano and chairs and Walk.Eat.Shop Block party October 4th, 2013.
Leave Behinds: Benches and Trash cans. Two different bench designs and CAPS

Mayor, City Council, School District Elections are August 27th
