2. Open Reports
Birmingham Police Department -Officer Burgin gave a report and was available to answer questions. Generally crime has been slow in the community….
Birmingham Fire Department –Summer Davis gave a report and was available to answer questions. Main issues faced in summer months are heat related. Ms. Davis encouraged everyone to look out for elderly neighbors during the hot summer months.
Public Works –Anthony Henry and Arthur Wilder gave a report and were available to answer questions. Arthur “Art” Wilder is CCNA’s new full time rep. Call #254-2061 with any questions or concerns.
Rev Birmingham –Robert Emerick gave a report and was available to answer questions about REV and Revive 2.0 programs.
3. CCNA Funds: After payment of the $3,400 approved by CCNA in January 2014 for benches on 2nd Avenue, the Capital fund will be $0.
After payment of $1,000 to Sojourns for the Street Fair, as approved at the March
2014 meeting, payment of $1,000 for the CCNA/Park Place Apartments Fun
Day, approved at the May 2014 meeting, and payment of $2,000 for Art Walk as
approved at the July 2014 meeting, the Non-cap fund will be $3,289.24.
At this time, we still only get $2,000 per year from the City.

New Business: There was discussion regarding the 20/59 ALDOT project and how that will affect the downtown etc. There was also discussion regarding the sewer rate increases in Birmingham and how neighbors can get involved with the sewer defense fund/project.
