Approval of July 21th, 2015 Minutes – Approved (will be posted without amendments)
2. Open Reports
Birmingham Police Department – Officer Doss answered residents’ questions. In response to reports of Sunday night motorcycle drag racing from 8-midnight, Officer Doss stated BPD policy does not allow officers to chase non-violent offenders. Officer Doss will inquire about installing cameras on 2nd and 3rd Avenues.

REV Birmingham – No report
Birmingham Public Library – Angela Fisher Hall, Director, provided information regarding the BPL system, which includes 18 branches. Ms. Hall introduced Olivia Allison, Director of Development, and Jim Murray, staff representative. Ms. Hall was named Director in May. She thanked the CCNA for holding its meetings at the BPL. The BPL plans to launch a capital campaign to renovate. Ms. Hall encouraged residents to call her with any library-related issues or needs. Her number is 205.226.3616. R.Burton requested that we have CCNA meeting in Richard Arrington, Jr. Auditorium every month instead of switching between Linn-Henley and the Central Library.

3. CCNA Funds: Current Funds Balance: $7,901.07 (as of 7-16-2015 Gregory Jones, CCNA CRO.)
At this time, we still only get $2,000 per year from the City. This $2,000.00 is still pending for this year’s current budget.
4. Old Business: New/Pending direction from the City of Birmingham, Law Dept. on how CCNA funds can be spent.
5. New Business: Pranzo Pronto, LLC. d/b/a Pranzo. Pranzo is an Italian restaurant featuring pizzas, sandwiches, and salads. Currently open from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM for cafe breakfast and lunch. Located at 2100 3rd Ave N Ste. 100, on the ground floor of the Concord Center. Pranzo is applying to obtain a license to sell beer and wine only (no hard liquor).
K.Upshaw moved to approve license. L.Perez 2nd. Motion Carried (12- Yae; 0 – No; 0 – Abstain).
Presentation by Move2059, Inc. of an Interstate I-20/59 Resolution to be discussed and considered for adoption by Central City Neighborhood Association.
Presenters stated a lawsuit will be filed in 2-3 weeks regarding the lack of studies to assess environmental impact of ALDOT plan. Presenters said they plan to collect resolutions from all neighborhoods and to use the resolutions as evidence of neighborhood support. M.Perez moved to adopt resolution in favor of looking for alternatives to ALDOT plan. D.Kassouf 2nd. Resolution adopted (12- Yae; 0 – No; 0 – Abstain).
